About Emerging Asset Management (EAM)
Emerging Asset Management (EAM) was incorporated in May, 2008 by Peter Hughes and John Bohan.
Emerging Asset Management was set up with the key mission to provide emerging managers a cost effective, full turn-key solution with the aim of helping them launch successful funds and keeping their total expense ratio (TER) down.
Both Peter Hughes and John Bohan are directors of EAM and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to emerging fund managers, based on over 40 years of combined industry experience.
Peter is the Founder and Group Managing Director of Apex Fund Services. Apex Fund Services is one of the world’s largest fund administration companies with over US$23 billion of assets under administration and 28 offices across the world. Prior to establishing Apex, he worked for a fund of funds group as Chief Financial Officer and he was a member of its investment committee.
John is the Managing Director of Apex Fund Services (Ireland) and Group Operation Officer. John was one of the founding members of Apex in 2003. Peter and John have successfully built the business to now be in the Top 20 Fund administration companies globally. Prior to joining Apex, John worked with Citibank and Bisys in London, Ireland and Bermuda.
Jerry Gil, Managing Director, is responsible for developing and promoting the EAM range of products globally, and is responsible for oversight of the Sub-Funds managed by EAM on the Emerging Manager Platforms. Prior to EAM, Jerry held Director positions at SEI and BNP Paribas. Jerry has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in the US, Scotland and United Kingdom, with global mandates in the Middle East and Asia. Jerry’s career has a particular focus on funds services, middle / back office solutions, global and domestic custody and prime brokerage.
